MSIS and White Lodge are proud sponsors of SPD Ability Walk 2018

[vc_row 0=””][vc_column][vc_column_text 0=””]At MSIS, we are committed to making a positive impact in the local community. While we take great pride in ensuring an inclusive environment for our children, we are also proud to help raise money for local causes.

 

This year we are happy to announce that MSIS & White Lodge are participating as a Bronze-level Sponsor at the SPD Ability Walk 2018. This is the third charity walk that SPD has organised to raise funds in aid of its programmes and services.

 

The 3km walk, which will take the participants through the historic Singapore River, aims to provide an opportunity for everyone of different abilities to walk (or roll) together, and serves to promote inclusion and raise awareness of people with disabilities in Singapore.

 

At SPD, formerly the Society for the Physically Disabled, they work towards the integration of people with disabilities into mainstream society. Through programmes that encompass rehabilitation, employment, training, education, consultation and assessment in assistive technology, day care, and social service support, they work in partnership with people with disabilities to maximise their potential and to help them to be self-reliant and independent.

 

Last year, MSIS and White Lodge teamed up and asked for a dozen cookies from each of our families. Between the 8 schools, over 10,000 cookies were donated to the SPD Ability Walk 2017, to share with their volunteers and supporters.

 

MSIS is inviting our families to sign up and participate in this exceptional event. Additionally, there will also be a post-walk carnival where participants can enjoy food, games, activities and stage performances!
